After three years of married life, Prince Royce and Emeraude Toubia are officially parting ways.
Although the news came as a shock to many fans, the ex-couple were quick to explain in a statement given to PEOPLE that this was a mutual decision on both parts.
“With sadness, but much love and respect for one another, we have decided to divorce,” the couple wrote in the statement.
“While the end of a relationship is never easy, we are at peace with our mutual decision and grateful for the life and love we shared for the last 10 years. To our friends and families, including our fans, please know that we are together in this difficult decision and that there is no need whatsoever to take sides.”
It went on to ask that through these hard times the public remembers to respect both the “Sensualidad” singer and the With Love actress’s privacy.
“We appreciate your support as we begin this next chapter of our lives and we wish each other only the very best in all future endeavors. Thank you, in advance, for respecting our privacy, during this difficult time. Emeraude & Royce.”
After first beginning their relationship in 2011, Royce and Toubia officially tied the knot back in 2018 with a private ceremony in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
Although it is unknown what may have caused the now ex-couple to split ways, we at Celeb Secrets wish the pair nothing but the best in their futures.
