MMA star Valerie Loureda is the WWE's newest signing after building a huge social media with her own OnlyFans-style site.

The 23-year-old from Miami officially put pen to paper on a deal which will see her move to the ring.

Loureda leaves behind a 4-1 record in the cage and confirmed her fighting days are over, for now at least.

She said on The MMA Hour: “Yes. My mind has completely shifted from MMA to the WWE, and all that passion and energy I have for MMA that I worked for five years, I’m now doing that in a training facility in Orlando.

"I love fighting, but this is my time.”

Loureda, an international Taekwondo champion and black belt, turned pro in MMA at 19 in 2019.

All four of her bouts were with American promotion Bellator, who have kept the door open for a return.

Bellator president Scott Coker said: “Valerie Loureda is a very young and talented athlete who can accomplish plenty in MMA for years to come, but for now we wish her the best of luck as she pursues her dream of becoming a WWE superstar.

“She will remain an active and under contract fighter with Bellator, and we look forward to welcoming her back into the cage in the near future.

"We take great pride in allowing our athletes to test themselves in additional arenas such as boxing and pro-wrestling.”

Away from the cage, Loureda is also known for her racy social media posts, often leaving little to the imagination.

She also has her own Only Fans-style website, called loveloureda, with subscriptions costing $9.99 (£8.20) a month.

Loureda calls herself as an actress and model, which will help towards her new career in WWE.

She is scheduled to arrive at the WWE Performance Center on July 18 with the aim of being on NXT television by the end of 2022.

Loureda took part in a week-long tryout with the pro wrestling promotion before signing and making history.

Loureda said: "I am now a WWE superstar. I’m really excited, and I’ve dedicated my whole life to martial arts, and everything has come to this moment.

"And this is my opportunity to showcase my culture and entertain the world. I’m emotional because I’ve worked really hard in my whole life.

"I’ve had a very hard upbringing, and every day, I’ve always just believed in myself, and trained hard hoping to make it to the next step and just chasing a dream that I’ve had in my heart since I was a baby.”
