Bio

Bridget Malcolm’s birthday is on the 3rd of November, 1991, in Western Australia. She pursued her studies at the Methodist Ladies College, Perth. Modeling was introduced to her when she was picked out of the crowd to become part of the Vivien’s model search way back October 2007. She was able to finish third on that event. Right after that, she appeared in Harper's Bazaar magazine twice and in Jodhi Meares’s swimwear brand Tigerlily.

Modeling

Her modeling career started when she won third place in an on the spot model search. After that event, she was able to gain popularity and was discovered by some agents. In June 2011, Malcolm appeared in the editorial for Madison. Four months after, she became the cover page of the WWD Beauty Inc. for their autumn/winter season.

Two years later, Malcolm invaded the runway industry. She was able to walk for some of the famous personalities and companies in the fashion industry such as Peter Som, Kenneth Cole, Tibi, Band of the Outsiders, Rodarte, Ralph Lauren, and Hache. The following year, she continued to appear in the runway and walk for the Ralph Lauren and Stella McCartney fashion shows.

2015 was a big year for Malcolm. For 12 months, she was featured in some of the most renowned magazines and in some editorials such as Elle, Harper’s Bazaar Mexico and Latin America, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle Italy and Australia. She also walked in the runway for Polo Ralph Lauren, Issa, Topshop Unique and David Jones.

But her biggest achievement for that year is probably her appearance in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show for their PINK Segment. Even though she was rejected by the said lingerie brand twice, she didn’t stop until she reached her dream. Her appearance in Victoria’s Secret continued in the following year.

In January 2017, Malcolm was named as the Playboy Playmate of the Month.

This was photo is from a shoot that was fun, respectful and empowering to take part in. Today on the blog, I talk about a time when my boundaries were pushed too far on set. I didn’t have the sense of my own rights that I have now, and it makes me sad to remember that time in my life. Instead of standing up for myself, I shrunk and did what was asked of me. I hope that the fashion industry continues to fight to put checks and balances in place for other young models, ones that protect from experiences like what I had.
